Another frame captured from the board-o-matic. Really having fun creating loose boards and exploring visuals from the story.  Rusty has been concepting some amazing 3D animatic work too.  Hope to show some of his progress soon….

dagstom

I’m excited to announce my long time friend (Rusty Drake) and I have broke ground on our short film epic…”Dagstom”  This project is years away from being finished but, we finally decided to sit down and put a serious amount of time into the film.  We’ve been sketching and toying with the story for many years now and we finally said…lets get started.

I’ll try and post more on this project in the future, although we do want to keep somethings a suprise.  No, it doesn’t involve peinguins.  Take it easy everyone!

Check out my new website: http://mattgaser.com

I’ve updated the site with new artwork, an online store, music, and more…  It’s been along time coming, but I finally brought my website up to the standard I’ve always wanted it to be.  Special thanks goes out to my friend Doug Schroeder.  Without Doug this site would have never been constructed, an amazing programmer and a good friend indeed.  Thanks buddy!

So, give the new site a stroll and tell me what you think…

This past weekend had some crazy weather, I decided to hunker down in my studio and work on this image of a robot.  Always feels good to be creative with the sound of gusty winds and rain outside the window, reminds me of the good old days growing up.  Take it easy everyone, enjoy!

I did this sketch a few years back of a walking machine, thought it could be a fun painting.  I also needed a splash image for my new website I’m launching really soon.  Stay tuned…

This painting was a birthday gift for a friend of mine, I finished it last weekend.  I wanted to portray San Francisco from an angle you can’t see unless you’re on a boat.  After finding some reference of the ferry building I began the sketch.  The rest of the painting was custom designed.
